Belmont Historic Firehouse June 11, 2010 — A small group of photographers with the International Fire Photographers Association did a meet-and-greet at the historic Belmont Firehouse in Portland, OR. The Belmont Firehouse is one of the original station for the Portland Fire Bureau and has in its quarters several horse-drawn engines; the original horse stalls, and a hose tower. Also on display is a peg-driven dispatch board which truly makes you appreciate the advances in Computer-Aided Dispatch systems. |
